David grew up in New York, where he was first introduced to the Industrial Arts. There, he fostered a love for tools and working with his hands. At 16, he began working with a local real estate agency, repairing and building small recreational cabins. His rugged ingenuity and bold determination are what drive him to continually pursue new opportunities in the field of residential construction and repair.

Jayna grew up in the Puget Sound area of Washington, where she first began her Family & Consumer Science studies. She received her first sewing machine at age ten and quickly began selling handmade hair accessories to her friends and family. Her love for Home Economics ignited in her a passion for small business, leading her to pursue career opportunities in administrative management.

David and Jayna began their start together in the ministry in 2008, volunteering in service to churches and families in need. In 2011, with the support of their friends and family, they combined their individual experience with their compassion for people, and Homestead Hero® was born.
